Lost Username or Password for your Broadband Service

- Login with your portal username and password when prompted.
- Click View Technical Details under the heading General.
- Click Select next to the service you need the details for.
- The Internet Access section contains your Broadband Username and Password.
How to change the settings
- Find your router's IP address. An IP address is a series of numbers - 192.168.
- Type it into a browser. Open any internet browser - Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari will all do - and type in that IP address you found.
- Log in. Enter the username and password for your router.
How to Access Router Settings Without Internet
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable.
- Find the router's IP address.
- Enter the IP address into the web browser.
- Login to the router.
- Connect the wired devices to the router.
- Login to the router.
- Set the DHCP range.
It could be that the connection is not stable enough to reach the router or the default gateway is not 192.168. 1.1. To check your default gateway, open command prompt by pressing win+r and entering cmd. Then enter ipconfig command and look for the adapter that you are using to connect.
Look on the router label for your router's WiFi network name (SSID) and network key (password). The label is on the back or bottom of your router. On your iOS or Android mobile device, tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Connect your mobile device to the network that is listed on your router's label and enter the password.
Click http://192.168.1.1 or type 192.168. 1.1 in the address bar. A login window will appear. Enter the login username and password provided by the router company or you can find it on the label on router.
Router setup steps
- Step 1: Decide where to place the router.
- Step 2: Connect to the Internet.
- Step 3: Configure the wireless router gateway.
- Step 4: Connect gateway to router.
- Step 5: Use app or web dashboard.
- Step 6: Create a username and password.
- Step 7: Update the router's firmware.
- Step 8: Create a Wi-Fi password.
Right-click on your wireless network, then select "Properties" from the pop-up menu. Click the "Security" tab in the "Wireless Properties" window. Select the check box next to "Show characters" to reveal the broadband password in the "Network security key" box.
Being already on the OptiComm network means the connection process will likely take as little as 15 minutes to roll over. However, we generally allow for 48 hours just to give ourselves time to work through any unforeseen issues that may arise.
NBN modems are tricky. Most providers swear that you should use their modem, some even refuse connection troubleshooting if you don't use their preferred hardware, while other operators encourage you to bring your own.

Official RepAussie Broadband 3 months agoGenerally, Telstra modems should work on our network as they use the same configuration. However, VoIP is almost always locked to Telstra through the firmware they use. In summary, you shouldn't need a new router, but will likely need an adapter if you want VoIP.
Routers bring the Internet to your devicesThe router connects to your modem and then to your devices (laptops, smart TVs, printers, etc.) via either an Ethernet cable or WiFi signal. However, a router doesn't need to connect to a modem to function. You can choose to create a LAN without Internet access.
Your modem is a box that connects your home network to the wider Internet. A router is a box that lets all of your wired and wireless devices use that Internet connection at once and also allows them to talk to one another without having to do so over the Internet.

Grab the Ethernet cable with red connectors and plug one end into the red port on your modem – it's the one that says 'Fibre'. Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable with red connectors into the Uni-D Port on the underside of the NBN Connection Box (your Welcome Letter tells you which one it is).
A full-fibre connection requires an 'NBN utility box' to be fixed to the outside of your premises, and an 'NBN connection box' installed inside your premises that your computer, router and phone will be connected to.
HFC NBN: You'll need a router. This will plug into the NBN connection box. Fibre to the Node NBN: You'll need a modem router. This will plug into the telephone socket used to facilitate your NBN connection.
Yes, you do require an nbn™ compatible router or modem. If your nbn™ is serviced via Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fixed Wireless, Hybrid-Fibre Coaxial (HFC), or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) then your modem must have a WAN or Internet port – here are some recommendations.
Configuring your Netgear Nighthawk
- Connect a PC or laptop to the Netgear router via an ethernet cable.
- Select 'Internet'.
- From the 'Select Internet Service Provider' menu, select 'Other'.
- From the Transfer Mode menu, select VDSL(PTM) if your connection type is a NBN FTTN service.
You will need to plug your modem/router into your nbn™ FTTP Network Termination Device (NTD) to connect your Internet service. First, remove the cover on the NTD to access the ports on the bottom. Press the two clips on either side and lift the cover at an angle (as shown below) to remove it.
Connect your modemTo connect it to your computer, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet or LAN port on the back of your modem, then plug the other end into the Ethernet port on the back of your computer. Your modem should come with an Ethernet cable, but any old Ethernet cable will do.
To close an Aussie Broadband service, the Primary Account holder needs to call our Customer Service team on 1300 880 905. An account cannot be cancelled over email. We require verbal confirmation on the phone as we aren't able to confirm your identity over email.
How to change your Wi-Fi password
- Using any internet browser on a Mac or PC, open your router's configuration page.
- Log into your router using its username and password.
- Once logged in, locate the "Wireless" or "Wireless Security" option.
- In the "Wi-Fi Password" or "Key" box, enter the password you want your connection to have.
How to change your Aussie Broadband password
- Log in to your MyAussie account using your user account details and password provided on signup.
- Click of the “Profile” option on the right menu, then click the “Change Password” button.
- Enter your current password, new password, then confirm your new password.
Belong 4353 modem
- On your device, open an internet browser and type 10.0.0.138 into the address bar.
- When prompted for the modem authentication username and password:
- From the main screen, select 'User Settings'
- Type the old password ('Belong'), then type your new password into the open fields.
- Click 'Apply'
That's because this new nbn™ connection does not require a username and password set up in the router. If your router is requesting one, then you may need to adjust some settings.
Connections using third-party hardware are not supported, however, you may choose to connect your own Wi-Fi router to the NBN Co Home Router for nbn™ HFC and FTTC to handle your home Wi-Fi network. Please note some fibre services will need to use PPPoE. If you're not sure which setting you need, please contact us.
You should have received your PPPoE login credentials from your Internet Service Provider with the router you got from them. Some ISP provider (particularly telephone service internet provider), require you to provide that password to use their service.
