Identify the Purpose of your Instagram Account
Personal Profile: Your username should represent you and what you want to be known as because you are the brand. You can either use a shortened version of your name like @GaryVee or just use your full name similar to @SimonSinek.Introduce yourself via the caption. Let people know your interests, hobbies and what they can expect to see on your Instagram account. Maybe ask a question and get people talking right from the beginning. For a business account, you should pick something that sums up what you're all about.

I'm going to keep the answer very simple: If you are using Instagram for business purposes you need to make it public. If you are using Instagram for personal use then you probably should keep it private if you have any doubt in your mind.
Instagram doesn't allow users to see who views their profile. So if you look through someone's profile and don't like or comment on a post, there's no telling who sees the pictures. This goes for both users with accounts and people without accounts who use the web to browse Instagram publicly.
Organize your Instagram like a BOSS

- Choose a layout. Choosing a layout is probably on of the easiest ways to organize your Instagram.
- Rearrange your photos.
- Choose a color palette.
- Keep the background of your photos the same.
- Use the same filter on all photos.
- Choose what to post about.
- Find your “hero” photo.
The Secrets to Becoming Instagram Famous

Instagram will then review the decision, which generally (according to the screenshots) takes up to 24 hours. Of course, having the capacity to submit an appeal doesn't mean that Instagram will be any more likely to reinstate your account.
Instagram says that, if it realizes it made a mistake, it'll restore posts. Any appeal will be sent to a completely different reviewer than the one who made the original decision, in order to ensure that the posts are thoroughly inspected.
We have seen them respond within 24 hours, all the way up to 2 weeks, even a month. If after 2 weeks, you dont receive anything, check your spam.

Sadly, Instagram does not currently allow you to retract a report. You cannot 'un-report' an account. So no need to worry if what you reported has no merit and is untrue, Instagram won't do much about it.
There could be many reasons for which Instagram deletes or disables accounts. For example, being inactive for a long time, getting reported by others, or violating Instagram terms and conditions.
Under our existing policy, we disable accounts that have a certain percentage of violating content. We are now rolling out a new policy where, in addition to removing accounts with a certain percentage of violating content, we will also remove accounts with a certain number of violations within a window of time.
