Enable fingerprint lock
- Open WhatsApp > tap More options > Settings > Account > Privacy.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Fingerprint lock.
- Turn on Unlock with fingerprint.
- Touch the fingerprint sensor to confirm your fingerprint.
- You can tap to select the amount of time before fingerprint authentication is prompted.

- After installation, open the GBWhatsAPP.
- Now go the chat which you want to hide.
- Hold and select that particular chat.
- After selecting, tap on the three dots given on the right top side.
- An options menu will pop-up, now tap on the Hide option.
Make sure Do not disturb is turned off or you have allowed WhatsApp notifications in priority mode in your phone's Settings app > Sound > Do not disturb. Make sure all of WhatsApp's permissions are granted in your phone's Settings app > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions.
Open WhatsApp, tap More > settings > notifications and make sure that message and group notifications are set to On. Open the chat you wish to receive notifications from > More > group info or info and make sure the chat is not muted.

When you mute a person or a groups, it simply means that you won't receive any notifications when they send a message. Yes, the message will be delivered to you, but there wont be any notification, popup, ringing (sound) or vibration.
Steps To Disable WhatsApp Notifications On Android
Open Settings in your Android phone. You can either toggle the WhatsApp switch to Off or tap on it to further customize notifications. If you decide to tap on WhatsApp then inside you'll find options to only disable notifications for Groups or contacts.On the “Settings” menu, tap the “Sound & Notification” option, and then scroll down until you see the “App notifications” entry. Show all
notification content.” Tap on it.
Hide notifications
- Show all notification content.
- Hide sensitive notification content.
- Don't show notifications at all.
On the Notifications settings screen, locate the app for which you don't want notifications to show their contents. In our example, when a text message is received, the notification pushed on the lock screen by the Messages app will say "Contents hidden," just like in the next screenshot.

After which, you can simply click on 'SMS and Contacts' option, and you can instantly see a screen where all the hidden text messages will appear. So now to hide text messages, tap on the '+' icon present at the top-right corner of the app screen.Swipe down from the top of your phone's display and tap on the cog wheel. If you only want to hide information from a particular app, just toggle off the button to the right for that app.
How do I stop all notifications from just one person on WhatsApp? On WhatsApp app open the contact which you want to mute. Tap on the contact name and then tap on 'Mute' option. You'll get options to mute this person for 8 hours, 1 week or 1 year.
WhatsApp gives you an option to hide your chat without deleting it. Also, you can do this with both group chats and private chats. The feature is called Archive chats. WhatsApp Archive chats allows you to hide a conversation from your Chats screen and access it later, if needed.
Simply open up Whatsapp and head to the settings cog, click on Notifications and then turn on "Show Preview". Then, you'll need to go to iPhone settings > Notifications > Whatsapp > Show Previews and select "Never".
If your
contacts'
numbers are shown
instead of their
names, you might need to reset the
WhatsApp sync with your
contacts.
To do so:
- Open your phone's Settings, then tap Users & accounts > WhatsApp.
- Tap REMOVE ACCOUNT > REMOVE ACCOUNT.
- Open WhatsApp, then tap the new chat icon > More options > Refresh.
Steps to resolve this:
- Go to Settings >> Apps>> whatsapp.
- There you will see permissions.
- Inside permissions there will be permissions for all kind of stuff like camera, contacts,location ,sms,storage etc.
- Enable the contact and you will be able to see all the names in whatsapp.
