Destiny is irrevocable. God doesn't change his mind about our destinies—because he can't. Destiny is something God built into us when he formed us.To change your destiny, you have to work towards that, it is your own actions which would change the destiny. Does that mean that prayers are nothing, again no, they are worthwhile as they helps a person in many ways, they help in changing the attitude.
So, what does destiny mean? It means being human and experiencing life and all the things that go along with it. And it means experiencing a life in which we make choices and change paths.
If you insist on the stronger definition of destiny then, as others have already said, either destiny is an illusion, or you can't change your destiny.
Divine destiny, on the other hand, is the destiny of God in or for a man's life. It describes the course of events in one's life, organized or structured by God to fulfil His divine purposes. Well, the word actualize means to make real. Specifically, self-actualization is a term used by psychological theorists to describe the process by which a person reaches his full potential. There's a subtle difference between fulfilling dreams and reaching max potential, so you could say actualize your aspirations.
A literal belief in fate usually precludes free-will. However, there are various non-literal interpretations that allow fate to coexist with independent action. Often the most painful experiences in life create the opportunity for the greatest growth.
The causes that give rise to such differentiation are the deeds which each of us has committed before we were born, which Buddhism calls “karma.” This view of karma is different from the theory of destiny or fate. The reason for this is that karma is the causal actions through which we receive our resulting fortune.
Belief in fate implies that there is a higher force or being that defines these outcomes for its own mysterious purpose. Many of us believe in fate because it offers us comfort and security. When bad events occur, fate tells us that this is all part of a greater plan.
The idea of destiny gives us a reason to go on, motivation that our lives matter beyond PTA meetings, job reviews and visits to the local coffee shop. The Christian tradition teaches that God has a purpose and plan for our lives.
Destiny is life predetermined, meaning our lives will ultimately come to an unpreventable end and everything before then was meant to happen. If it were to exist, then destiny would bring about your love if you were destined to have a love. If you were not destined to have a love then you are out of luck.
A person's fate is decided by a complex combination of conditions and factors. Some of them are already decided at the time of a person's birth and some of them come into play later and shape the course further. There are five factors that form our fate or destiny: Tendencies of our soul, otherwise known as karma.
Fate is that which you cannot change. Destiny is that which you're meant to do. While fate is what happens when you don't take responsibility for your life, destiny is what happens when you commit to growing, learning, and taking chances. Being “destined for greatness” only comes through active and conscious decisions.
If you believe in destiny, it means that you believe that everything is a planned event and the situation and your response to them is already decided and you just act. It also means that the whole world is kind of programmed. People say that, you can change your destiny.
Most people use fate and destiny interchangeably, but they aren't the same. Fate is the life you lead if you never put yourself in the path of greatness. That's your fate. Fate is a negative and is defined as the expected result of normal development.
