Universal CityWalk is the name shared by the entertainment and retail districts located adjacent to the theme parks of Universal Parks & Resorts. CityWalk began as an expansion of Universal's first park, Universal Studios Hollywood, and serves as an entrance plaza from the parking lots to the theme parks.
Universal Studios Parking PriceBasic parking (also known as general parking) is $25 when arriving prior to 6pm, however, parking at the front gate which is the closest parking area to the entrance of Universal Studios is $50. Universal Studios or City Walk.
The Universal website says, "Save up to $20 off the Gate price on all multi-day tickets when you buy online." I only assumed that was true and never even looked at the prices when picking up my prepaid tickets at the gate or guest services. Cheaper ahead of time AND you don't waste time in the ticket buying line.
The simplest way to save on Universal Studios' prices for park entry is to buy your tickets before you get to the gate. You can save up to $20 per person when you buy multiday tickets online. If you're traveling with a family of four, that's $80 in savings already.
All bags, backpacks, purses, packages and items are subject to X-ray and/or additional inspection prior to entering CityWalk or the Theme Park(s). Suitcases and bags with wheels are prohibited. We recommend you leave unnecessary articles in your car and secure valuables in your trunk.
Acceptable items:
- Bottled water (maximum 2 liters)
- Small snacks.
- Any food required for special dietary needs.
- Any food required for medical purposes and medically-indicated nutritional supplements.
- Baby food/baby formula.
- Soft-sided insulated bags no larger than 8.5” wide x 6” high x 6” deep.
Prime parking (slightly closer parking area) is $40 per day. RV/Bus parking is $32 per day. If you've rented through Avis or Budget car rental from the Orlando International Airport, you'll receive free Prime Parking with your voucher.
My opinion is that, yes, it is worth it! There are definitely upsides and downsides. I've had several people express that they wanted to wait until the mask requirement was dropped which I do understand. It's very hot but fortunately, Universal is offering U-Rest zones throughout the parks.

Unfortunately, there is no free parking at CityWalk. There is only one parking venue for the different parks at Universal Studios Orlando, meaning Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay and CityWalk will still charge a parking fee for Universal Studios Orlando.
Take Snacks and MealsCoolers and large carriers are prohibited, but guests are allowed to carry in soft-sided insulated bags smaller than 8.5 inches wide, 6 inches high and 6 inches deep. Bottled water is also allowed, as is baby food and formula.

Parking is provided free of charge in our car park which is a short walk away from the entrance to the Studio Tour. The nature of the attraction means that visitors cannot return to the car park until the end of their visit.
It is $20 for regular parking. We never tried to pay with credit/debit card as its much quicker to just hand over the cash. And you can pay with cash or card.
