While the Oculus Quest can cast to a TV, it also has the handy ability to cast to a phone. This is a nice option for anyone who doesn't have a supported Chromecast device or only wants to share their Oculus Quest with one device. You simply select "This Phone" instead of any other device as a casting target.
Cast Your Android Screen To The TV Without Using Chromecast
- Step 1: Go to the Quick Settings Tray. Swipe down on your phone to access your notification drawer.
- Step 2: Look for your Smart TV. After enabling the screencast feature, find your TV on the list of compatible devices near you that popped up.

That's a significant saving over the price that the original entry-level Oculus Quest model opened sales at. It's certainly not cheap, but considering it's a contained experience that doesn't require a PC, console or even an additional screen in order to work with it, it represents great value.
Actually you can get Oculus quest. You need the minecraft file and this application called SideQuest. then also put in Vivecraft files. go onto the oculus app then connect your quest then turn on developer mode. Then plug in your quest to your pc using a usb-c to usb-a.
Vivecraft supports Minecraft versions 1.7.10, and 1.10 through 1.16. See Downloads for individual links. Vivecraft works best in roomscale with SteamVR-Compatible hardware such as the HTC Vive or Cosmos, Valve Index, Oculus Rift S, and WMR headsets.
Vivecraft can be used to play on any normal Minecraft server running the same base Minecraft version. You can play with anyone, VR or not. You will need to be playing via LAN or on a modded server with one of our server plugins. Any desktop players will also need to be using the Vivecraft Non-VR client.
For anyone interested, YES you can ScreenCast directly from Quest to Amazon FireTV. I'm using the Quest's 10.0+ firmware, 4K Firestick, and a FireTV app called "AirScreen - AirPlay & Google Cast & Miracast & DLNA" to get direct streaming from the Quest to the TV. Ensure you're on the latest Oculus Quest firmware.
FandangoNOW now offers movies and TV shows for rent or purchase on Oculus VR headsets, including some in 3-D. Oculus Go and Quest headset users can now access the 90,000 movies and TV shows already available FandangoNOW, which is available on the headset app.
Casting from your Oculus Quest headset to casting enabled devices:
- Turn on your Oculus Quest headset and put it on.
- From the Universal Menu, select Sharing.
- Select Cast from the Sharing menu.
- Choose the device you want to cast to.
- Select Start from the in-VR prompt.
To start casting from the Oculus app:
- Open the Oculus app on your phone.
- Select from the top right of your screen.
- Under Cast From, select the headset you'd like to cast from.
- Under Cast To select This Phone.
- Tap Start at the bottom of your screen, put on your headset and accept the in-VR prompt to start casting.
Oculus currently supports the following connected devices for Quest casting — Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, NVIDIA Shield TV, and Google Home Hub. Chromecasts are simple HDMI dongles that allow you to “cast” video and music services like YouTube, Netflix, Spotify and now Oculus to your TV.
