The actual AP score will not affect youradmissions. There are several benefits to taking theAP exam and doing well. Even if your college does notaccept AP exams as credit, they may use your APscores for placement or to fulfill general educationrequirements.
Your score report is cumulative andincludes scores for all the AP Exams you haveever taken, unless you requested that one or more scores bewithheld from a college or canceled. Do Colleges Look at AP Scores for Admission?While you don't typically need to send official AP scorereports to colleges you're applying to, some schools willhave space on their applications for you to self-reportyour AP scores. If the school either provides credit or advanceplacement for a score of 3, then submit it. My guessis, however, that you will receive neither AP credit orplacement in a high level course for a score of 3.The Common Application does not require you to send an APscore to a school. Canceling your AP® Exam scorepermanently deletes it—it cannot be reinstated at alater time. Scores may be canceled at any time.However, for scores not to be sent to the collegeindicated on your AP answer sheet, AP Services mustreceive your request by June 15 of the yearyou took the AP Exam.

What happens if you don't take your APexam? If you are sick, you have a make up dayoption. If you are thinking your score will be really lowand you would prefer not to take it, then if youdon't show up to school that day or the make up day, youwill have spent a lot of money and it has completely gone towaste.
An AP exam score does not affect yourGPA at all. If you are coming from a high school thecollege has never heard of, a good AP examscore would validate the grade you received inthe class. I don't know your circumstances, but it ispossible that you will not be able to take an AP exam as aninternational student.
