One new feature that's hidden away within a series of menus is perhaps the most surprising of all: the iPad now supports a mouse. You can either pair a Bluetooth mouse, or plug in a mouse through the USB-C port—you may need an adapter if you only have a standard USB-A mouse.
The best mice for iPad
- Apple's Magic Mouse 2.
- Apple's Magic Trackpad 2.
- Satechi M1 Bluetooth mouse.
- Logitech MX Master 3.
- Microsoft Arc mobile mouse.
- Logitech K830 Media keyboard and trackpad.
If you need to check the battery life for your Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad you can always see it from the battery widget in Today View.
Just move one finger up/down left/right. If that's not working then Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > mouse options.. button > check Scrolling.
Instead, quickly press the home button twice so all your lately current apps will be displayed as little pages. Scroll horizontally to find the app of your interest and tap it. Step 3. Besides that, it's not only about scrolling, but other multi-touch miracles.
You may want to check if scrolling has been disabled for a Trackpad or Mouse. Trackpad scrolling can be turned off in Accessibility preferences: Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Accessibility. In the Mouse & Trackpad section, click Trackpad Options, then deselect the Scrolling checkbox.
Mouse doesn't scroll up or down or side to sideCheck the Scrolling speed slide-control at the top, and make sure the “Scroll” checkbox is checked. For scrolling side-to-side, make sure the application you're using supports side-to-side scrolling.
Open System Preferences, click on Accessibility, (in System Group) choose Mouse & Trackpad from the left pane, click on Mouse Options and check the Scrolling option. You can also experiment with interia settings which change the behavior of up and down scrolling.
To enable right-clicking and natural scrolling:
- Click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner of the screen and select System Preferences from the drop down menu.
- Click on Mouse.
- Select the Point & Click section.
- To enable natural scrolling, check the box next to "Scroll direction: natural."
Choose Apple menu (?) > System Preferences. Click the Mouse icon. On the Point & Click tab, move the slider to adjust the tracking speed. You can adjust it at various speeds from slow to fast.
The original Magic Mouse uses a pair of AA batteries which need to be occasionally recharged with a separate battery charger. The Magic Mouse 2 has a non-removable battery that is recharged by plugging the mouse into a USB port using a Lightning cable. Other than that I can't tell them apart (I've got both).
Question: Q: Magic Mouse scrolling features in Windows 10
- Update Windows 10 to latest (just in case).
- Download Apple Boot Camp Drivers (Download Boot Camp Support Software 5.1. 5769). Thats the latest I could find.
- Execute ootcamp5. 1.5769BootCampDriversAppleAppleWirelessMouse64.exe and done!
If you use an Apple mouse, you can use it to zoom in on part of the screen. Some Mac notebook computers also support making the screen image larger using the trackpad. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Accessibility, then click Zoom.
Change the Tracking Speed or Scroll DirectionAfter connecting your Bluetooth mouse or trackpad, go to Settings > General > Trackpad and Mouse.
Open the Settings app and navigate to Accessibility -> Pointer Control. Drag the Scrolling Speed slider to adjust how sensitive your mouse or trackpad movements translate to the onscreen movement of the cursor.
For iPads with physical home buttons, Apple's default solution for reaching the Home screen using only the mouse is to quickly swipe downward with the mouse cursor at the bottom edge of the screen. The speed and positioning it takes to pull this off can be fiddly to get just right.
To reverse the scrolling direction of your touchpad using the Settings app, use these steps:
- Open Settings.
- Click on Devices.
- Click on Touchpad.
- Under the "Scroll and zoom" section, use the drop-down menu to select the Down motion scrolls down option.
Access App Switcher and Close AppsDrag the white bar from the bottom of the display up, until you see the app switcher. To close any app, swipe up on your trackpad, or turn the mouse wheel up. You can also close apps from slide-over using this same method.
