The Digital Advantage
The most obvious benefit of downloading a digital copy of a game onto your console is the fact that it doesn't take up any physical space. You won't have a shelf full of old Switch games that you never play anymore. You also don't have to worry about losing the cartridges. If you downloaded the digital version of the game, then bought an SD card and you want to move it, simply go into Settings, data management and "Archive" the game. Then, redownload. If you have a card installed, it will automatically install to the card.
Yes, save data is stored on the console, not the cartridge. However if you lose your console, you will lose your saves unless you are subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online where your saves would be backed up into the cloud. Yes, with a few rare exceptions of physical/digital having different titles.
You can put Switch digital download games into Micro SD Card. But there is NO WAY to copy Physical cartridges to Micro SD Card. too bad nintendo doesn't let us have fun with the switch so much possibilites with the switch but they act like the device is theirs and they let you borrow it from them
The Switch comes with 32 GB of built-in storage, 3 of which are used by the system itself. In those 29 GB of space, if the games you play are pretty small indie titles, you could probably fit 10–15 games.
Even if you don't play digital games, physical games you play will download their patch data and DLC to your Switch's storage. If you don't have a micro SD card, you'll probably need to free up space on your Switch at some point.
Are Nintendo Switch games cheaper to download? Although there are some online sales in the EShop for Nintendo games sometimes, generally the prices for games are the same price to download or to purchase. They would make more money as downloads don't cost anything to produce.

With the Nintendo Switch you can purchase and download a digital copy of a physical game you own. For most Switch games a digital copy will be able to use the game save data created by your physical copy. This will allow you to continue playing with the digital copy and you can sell/give away the physical copy.
Smash Bros 13.6 GB. So a 128 GB card could hold 9 of those sized games.
The Nintendo Switch offers both digital games you can download and physical games on cartridges. You can play them without swapping cartridges and you'll always have them with you, making your Nintendo Switch more portable. But there are some big downsides to digital games.
Yes, nintendo cannot fix this bug without direct access to your device, any version should work fine as long as your switch is unpatched (see checking if your switch is unpatched below). Make sure the CFW you choose is also capable of supporting your version, if it's recently release then yours may not be supported.

200/256GB, or even 128GB, should be enough for a while if you only buy indie titles on eShop (obviously, if you buy every single game out there, you'll get into trouble, but that's the case on all systems). If you are interested in the traditional AA and AAA titles, you might run into space issues with a 128GB card.
Games are only getting bigger
That's because the Nintendo Switch only offers 32GB of internal storage. The thing is, in-depth games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pokémon Sword and Shield take up 13.4GB and 10.3GB of space, respectively.Other companies publishing on the Switch sometimes follow Nintendo's lead. They also set the prices slightly higher than on other consoles because carts are more expensive than Blu-Rays, and they bring the games out later on Switch than on other consoles, meaning they start at full price later.
