Bonus Points can take up to five days to appear in your Hilton Honors Dining account and one to two weeks to appear in your Hilton Honors account. You didn't use a card linked to Hilton Honors Dining when you completed your transaction. If you paid with a debit card, you didn't use it like a credit card.
Honors points expire after 12 months of account inactivity. To keep your account active, you must be earning or redeeming points or staying at Hilton portfolio hotels.
After you complete an eligible stay at a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio, you earn 10 Hilton Honors Base Points for every US dollar spent on your room rate and other eligible room charges, including telephone calls and room service.
And if you want to share Hilton points with a friend or family member to stay more nights, you can transfer points for a fee of $12.50 per 5,000 Hilton points.
Points that have expired within the past 18 months can be reinstated, and you can reinstate up to a million points. Furthermore, you can only reinstate expired points once. You can do this directly through Hilton's website, either by logging into your Honors account, or through this link.
If you and a spouse both have a balance of Hilton Honors points, you can transfer them into one account to make managing them easier.

The minimum amount of Hilton points that you'll need to book a standard room is 5,000 points, and the cost can reach upward of 120,000 points for high-end properties. Since Hilton doesn't offer an award chart, the number of points needed for any given stay will vary based on hotel, room, booking and stay date.
For example, the Millennium Times Square Hotel lists the lowest rate available for December 31, 2021 to January 1, 2022 is over $1,000 after taxes and fees. Ouch! If you buy Hilton Honors points at 0.5¢ a piece, you'd spend around $400 to purchase the required 80,000 points.

The Marriott credit cards are solid, each offers its own free night certificate and credit towards elite status. However, it's probably easier for most travelers to get better overall value from Hilton credit cards.

How do I get a copy of my receipt? If you are an Honors member, log in to your account to access receipts from the past 12 months. Click on "My reservations" and scroll down or filter for previous stays. Then, select the receipt you'd like to view.
