How to add apps on Vizio Smart TV?
- (1) Head to the Google Play Store on your Android device.
- (2) Download any one of the Chromecast Compatible apps on your smartphone.
- (3) Open the app and click the Cast icon.
- (4) Select your Vizio Smartcast TV and the media will appear on the TV.

1 Add App on a VIZIO Smart TV
Press the V button twice on the remote. In the Fullscreen VIA Plus Apps Window you will see your installed apps under the My Apps tab. Browse through the Featured, Latest, All Apps or Categories tabs to find the app you want to install.More importantly, each P-series TV ships with its own Android tablet, which acts as a remote control using the new Vizio SmartCast app. The app, which is free on iOS and Android, basically acts like a TV guide and remote for streaming video, letting you find things to watch and then launch them on the television.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the Home Theater Display/HDTV or the outlet, whichever is easier to unplug. After holding down the device's power button for 15 to 30 seconds, plug the power cable back into the device or outlet, whichever was disconnected, and power the device on.

As announced on Tuesday, Vizio's 2016 P-series TVs are the first to have Google Cast built-in, letting users send video to the big screen from phones, tablets, and laptops. More importantly, each P-series TV ships with its own Android tablet, which acts as a remote control using the new Vizio SmartCast app.
You can connect a PC laptop to a Vizio TV using either a VGA, HDMI or DVI-to-VGA or DVI-to-HDMI cable. It does not matter which HDMI input you connect the PC to. Using an HDMI cable outputs the PC's video in high definition. All of the other cables output in standard definition.
Cast your computer screen
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More. Cast.
- At the top, next to "Cast to," click the Down arrow .
- Click Cast desktop.
- Choose your Chromecast device where you want to watch the content.
Turn on the Vizio TV by pressing its "Power" button. Press the "Input" button on the TV remote to select the input to which your MacBook is connected. If an on-screen menu appears, use the "Down Arrow" button to scroll down to the correct input and press the "OK" button to select it.
If you don't want to deal with those pesky cables, connecting your laptop to the TV wirelessly is the way to go. But you do need a media streaming device like the Google Chromecast or Roku Streaming Stick Plus to get the job done. An Android TV will also do, as it has Chromecast built-in.
Its super Easy Install Google Chrome Browser Now, Open the Browser and Click the Three Dot Menu on the Top Right Corner. Choose Cast and Hit Enter Cast Window will open. (Make Sure Both your Laptop and MI Tv are connected to same Wifi). Click Cast To to choose between what you want to cast to your Mi TV.
For SmartCast™ to work the SmartCast™ TV, and the control device (phone, tablet, or computer) must be connected to the same home network. If you turned on the phone's Wi-Fi and connected it to your home network, the phone would then be able to send content to your SmartCast™ device.
Connect using Chromecast or Chromecast Built-in (Formerly Google Cast)
- On your computer, open the Chrome browser (version 72 or higher).
- Sign In to netflix.com.
- Select the More icon.
- Select the Cast.
- Select your computer from the list of available devices to cast Netflix to your TV.
