How to Find Out If Your Driver's License Is Suspended

Visit Your Local DMV
If your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) provides free reports, go there first. The report it provides is an official government record and will be the most accurate. View your driving licence information is a new digital service from DVLA. It's a simpler, clearer and faster way to view your driving information online. You can also see your personal details registered with the DVLA to check if they're up to date.
There is no tax on diesel, which is why these vehicles need to pay RUC instead. RUC is charged according to how many kilometres a vehicle travels, and its type and weight. Vehicles pay a set amount for every 1,000 kilometres travelled. Full electric cars are exempt from paying RUC until 2020.

To do this you'll need to visit an NZTA driver licensing agent and:
- complete an Application for reissue of driver licence form (DL7)
- provide evidence of identity.
- prove your eyesight is of the required standard.
- have your photo taken and signature recorded.
- pay a reinstatement fee (around $66).
If you drive without a current and valid licence, you risk: receiving an infringement fine of $400. receiving a fine of up to $1000 if summonsed to court (this would likely follow persistent offending) being forbidden to drive by police.
The good behaviour option is offered with the demerit points disqualification notice. Instead of surrendering your licence you make a formal application to accept a 12 month good behaviour option. This must be done within 21 days of receiving the notice [Motor Vehicles Act 1959 (SA) s 98BE(2)].

Submit all required documents and payments to the DMV.
Confirm that you're eligible to reinstate your license, and get proof from the DMV. You can call the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) on 0800 822 422 and apply to obtain the following: Demerit Points and Suspension History Report: the details of any demerit points or demerit point suspensions which have been recorded on your licence record within the last seven years.
To find out your current demerit points (ones that you have accumulated in the last 2 years), you can call the NZ Transport Agency on 0800 822 422. They can tell you over the phone how many demerit points you currently have and what those are for.
To find out how many points you have, check your driving history report. In many states, you can check your record online via your state's DMV website. Look for a link labeled “driver's license check” or something similar. If you can't find a link on the site, you may need to submit a written request or form.
Pennywiser NZ
USUALLY within 4 weeks and often within 2, but can take up to 2 months,depending on how on the ball they are.Demerit points. Certain driving offences incur demerit points. If you accumulate 100 or more demerit points in any two-year period, your licence can be suspended for three months.

Four or more demerit points are converted into suspension points leading to a player getting banned for a particular period of time. Like two suspension points mean either a one Test or two ODIs or two T20Is ban depending on which game is first.
Hold a valid driving licence. Have accumulated 8 to 23 demerit points (if there is no existing suspension record) or 4 to 11 demerit points (if there is an existing suspension record)
Alberta uses a demerit point system. Under the Traffic Safety Act, fully licensed drivers are allowed to accumulate up to 15 demerit points before their license is suspended. Demerits are accumulated on your driving record for each traffic conviction. You will be assigned 2 – 7 demerit points for traffic conviction.
